Mary A. Diamond, formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at The Clay House Assisted Living Facility in Zanesville, Ohio.

Mary was born on Dec. 29 1921, in Butler, the daughter of August and Nancy (Hamel) Raabe.

She was an RN and worked at Butler Memorial Hospital as a charge nurse.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Judy Diamond of Zanesville, Ohio; her daughter, Joyce Diamond of Norwalk Conn.; her granddaughter, Shanon (Dan) Yawkey of Zanesville, Ohio; her granddaughter, Amy (Jody) Kerns of Jacksonville N.C.; her grandson, Brian (Mary) Diamond of Zanesville, Ohio, and her three great-grandchildren, Nicole Yawkey, Meyer Diamond and Avery Diamond, all of Zanesville, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Clarence P. (Bud) Diamond, and her eight brothers and sisters

DIAMOND — By her request there will be no public viewing for Mary A. Diamond who passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. A private family service will be held with Pastor Mark Combs officiating.Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bud, at Butler County Memorial Park.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snouffer Funeral Home, Zanesville, Ohio.
