Larry S. Giunta
Mr. Larry S. Giunta, 70, of Buffalo Township passed away Saturday at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
He was born on March 3, 1943, in Harrison Township, a son of the late Lawrence A. Giunta and Valerie Dombrowsky (Dober).
Larry has lived the past 19 years in Buffalo Township. He was a health physicist technician in the nuclear industry.
Larry graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1961 and attended the University of Georgia and Clarion University. He enjoyed Cape Cod Bay fishing and boating for many years with wife, Colleen, and children. He also enjoyed hunting and was a Pittsburgh sports fan. He studied archeology and Indian artifacts, and the Carnegie Museum dated some of his collections. He loved hosting family events and holidays.
Survivors include his wife, Collene H. (Theuerl) Giunta; his children, Jeffrey Giunta, Amy (Jeff) Kostie, Kimberly (Douglas) Snyder and Tammy Stokes and her fiance, Michael Rivi; his grandchildren, Stephen Harasyn, Joshua Mohan, Anthony Williams and Amber Williams; and his sister, Marlene Watkins of Pittsburgh.
