Edna B. Keil

Edna B. Keil, 100, formerly of Penn Township and North Hills, died Monday morning at Concordia of Cranberry.

Born in McCandless Township on Oct. 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Minnie Pearce Grubbs.

A homemaker, Edna had worked for many years at Penney's Hardware in Mars.

She was a member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Janet Braun and her husband, John, of McCandless Township; her son, Kenneth C. Harbusch and his wife, Lorraine K., of Cranberry Township; her stepdaughters, Ruth Wilson and her husband, Jay, of Mars and Barbara Strittmatter and her husband, Joseph, of Quincy, Mich.; her stepson, Charles Keil and his wife, Eileen, of McCandless Township; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles H. Harbusch, who died in July of 1956; her second husband, Wilbur H. Keil, who died June 23, 1987; her stepson, Robert Keil; her sisters, Nettie Rummel, Elizabeth Gibson, Olive Marsh, Ethel Hamilton and Pearl Grubbs; and her brothers, Earl, Wilson and Lynn Grubbs.

KEIL — The friends of Edna B. Keil, who died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, will be received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bowen, pastor of Middlesex Presbyterian Church, officiating.
