Sarah Anna Marie Lydon and Timothy Robert Schlenz Jr., both of Stephens City, Va., were united in marriage May 18 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Gary Stakem officiated. A reception followed at the Tanglewood Center, Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lydon of Cabot. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Schlenz Sr. of Leesburg, Va.
The matron of honor was Maria Garde of Salisbury, Md., and the maid of honor was Amy Hoffman of Cranberry Township.
Bridesmaids included Elaine Lydon of Butler and Jennifer Naylor of Johnstown. Junior bridesmaids were Theresia Fisher and Gabriella Fisher, both of Butler.
The flower girl was Elise Garde of Salisbury, Md.
Performing the duties of best men were Joseph Schlenz of Leesburg, Va., and Walker Solis of Front Royal, Va. Ushers included Andrew Lydon of Cabot, Gabriel Garde of Salisbury, Md., and Jonathan Dawson of Front Royal, Va.
The ring bearer was Michael Schlenz of Leesburg, Va.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and received a master’s degree in 2005 from Saint Francis University.
She is a physician assistant at Mountain View Family Medicine in Strasburg, Va.
The bridegroom was home-schooled until 1999. He received a bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, in 2006. He is a residential counselor for Loudoun County, Va.
Following a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Stephens City, Va.
