Nichalos Sopel Jr.
Nichalos Sopel Jr., 62, of Lyndora died Dec. 3.
Born on Feb. 20, 1951, in Butler, he was a son of the late Nichalos Sopel Sr. and Dora (Zaccari) Sopel.
He worked in quality control for Ibis Tek in Butler. Previously he worked at the Pullman Standard Car Co., Schamming Industries and Trinity Industries.
He was a member of the St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider for over 40 years and had enjoyed playing cards and being with his family.
Surviving are his sons, Leon Sopel of Butler and Luke Sopel of Lyndora; his daughter, Emily Sopel of Butler, and his two sisters, Gloria Hulings and Michel (William) Witzel of Slippery Rock.
SOPEL — There will not be a visitation for Nichalos Sopel Jr., who died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. A private memorial service will be by the American Legion Honor Guard for his family.The arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
