Gordon D. Thompson
Gordon D. Thompson, 77, of East Brady died Thursday at his home.
Born on July 19, 1936, in Butler, he was the son of David and Edna M. (Husselton) Thompson.
For 25 years, Gordon drove truck for Penreco in Karns City.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Rose M. Thompson of East Brady; four daughters, Christine McCracken and her husband, Vaughn, of Karns City, Lucinda Anthony and her husband, Kevin, of Parker, Michelle Evankovich of East Brady and Ashley Bishop and her husband, Josh, of Karns City, and three sons, Gordon Thompson Jr. and his wife, Faith, of Great Falls, Mont., Zane Thompson and his wife, Lisa, of Parker, and Shane Thompson and his wife, Nicole, of Emlenton. He is also survived by two brothers, David Thompson of Alaska and Gary Thompson of Parker; three sisters, Jeannie Kriebel of Parker, Charlotte Lauer of Parker and Carolyn Rogers of Butler, 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson; two sisters, Verna Patton and Helen Thompson, and two brothers, Daryl Thompson and Bernard Thompson.
THOMPSON — There will be no services for Gordon D. Thompson, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.Arrangements are under the direction of the Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady.The Thompson family suggests donations be made in Gordon's name to the Make a Wish Foundation, 707 Grant St., 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
