PRAYERS FOR THE UNBORN
An estimated 450 to 500 people gathered in January 1974 on the steps of the Butler County Courthouse for a candlelight service protesting the first anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling to legalize abortion during the first three months of pregnancy. The march, which started and concluded at the Salvation Army Citadel on West Cunningham Street, included religious songs and prayers.
