Idella Reitler

Idella Reitler, 62, of Texas passed away Dec. 10.

Idella was born on June 27, 1951, in New Kensington to Booker T. Watkins and Mary Ellen Brookins.

She worked as an optical cleaning tech for II-VI Inc.

She loved gardening and the ocean.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Reitler; her mother, Mary Ellen Vann; her father, Booker T. Watkins, and her brother, Robert Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Alona Davis and her husband, Monte, of Houston, Texas; her sons, Alfred M. Dorsey Jr. of Portland, Ore., and Alexander W. Dorsey of Cummings, Ga.; her sister, Estella Sloan of Dallas, Texas; and her stepchildren, Gary L. Reitler Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, of Sarver, David B. Reitler and his wife, Tammy, of Kittanning, William J. Reitler and his wife, Kristen, of Kittanning, Matthew J. Reitler of Brackenridge, Kimberly L. Smith and her husband, Shawn, of Rural Valley and Erin Reitler of Tarentum.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jack Dorsey, Alfred M. Dorsey Jr., Cameron Thompson, Alysia Dorsey, Whitney Reitler, Kimberly Reitler, Ashley Huestis and her husband, Austin, Marilyn Reitler, Tori Smith, Dakota Smith, Josh Reitler, Jeremy “Buck” Reitler, Jessica Reitler, Emily Lenavitt, Stephanie Lenavitt and Benjamin Reitler; her great-grandchild, Carter Reitler; her brother, Dale L. Reitler, and her sisters, Peggy L. Gilliland and her husband, Lou, of Butler, Melissa J. Reitler, and Pamela S. Shaffer and her husband, Rick, of Slate Lick.

Her nieces and nephews, William Peters, Alecia Peters, Ellena Sloan, Robert Jones Jr., Mavin Jones, David Jones, Christopher Jones, Tonya Jones, Mannie Jones, Autumn Jones and Crystal Jones also survive.

REITLER — Visitation and services for Idella Reitler, who died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, were at the Forest Park East Funeral Home, Webster, Texas.
