Chad Houk and Whitney Laidlaw

An Oct. 3 wedding is being planned by Whitney Laidlaw of Saxonburg and Chad Houk of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dixie Laidlaw and the late Jeff Laidlaw of Saxonburg. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Rick and Joni Houk of Butler.

The future bride is a 2007 graduate of Knoch High School. She received a degree in elementary education from Slippery Rock University in 2011.

She is a pre-kindergarten teacher at Butler County Children’s Center. She also is employed by Four Seasons Tanning in Butler.

Her fiance graduated in 2008 from Butler High School.

He is employed by LorNat, Inc.
