Jerry Phillips
Jerry Phillips, 66, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.
He was born on Nov. 26, 1947, in Jacksonville, N.C., the son of the late Phillip Humphrey and Susie Mae Phillips.
Jerry was a member of the Washington Chapel in Jacksonville, N.C. He retired from Armco. He loved animals and music and he’d performed with the Pittsburgh All Stars. He wrote music and played keyboards.
Surviving are his fiancee, Billie Roudebush of Butler; his two daughters, Tiffany Phillips of Aliquippa and Frances Phillips of Pittsburgh; his son, Jerry Phillips Jr. of Butler; his two stepchildren, Jackie and Jonathon Roudebush; his 10 grandchildren, Lamont, Khalil, Layla, David, Jaden, Caleb, Camryn, Darryn, Jasmine and Jada; his beloved aunt-mother who raised him, Edna L. Morgan of Jacksonville, N.C.; his brother, Richard (Fannie) Humphrey of Greensboro, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
PHILLIPS — The friends of Jerry Phillips, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.An additional visitation will be at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 5524 Second Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15207 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev.
