Eleanor S. Smith, 95, of Milford, Pa., passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Milford Senior Care, Westfall Township, Pa.

She was a retired teacher for the Sherman Central School, Sherman, N.Y. Eleanor was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Milford, Pa., the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of Eastern Star, Butler, Pa.

The daughter of the late Homer and Mabel (Shaffer) Smail, she was born on May 1, 1918, in Punxsutawney, Pa. She was married to the late Edward R. Smith.

Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Melzer of Milford, Pa., and Rebecca Mayle of Fairmont, W.Va., and five grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter and two brothers.
