More snow to blanket county tonight
Butler County residents can expect another 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight into Tuesday coming from the latest storm in what’s been a long winter.
Lee Hendricks, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said the winter weather advisory runs from 7 p.m. today until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Snow isn’t the only precipitation in the forecast. Hendricks said people here can expect areas of both rain and freezing drizzle tonight with sleet possibly mixed in later.
“Winter might finally be ending in June,” Hendricks quipped. “But at this point I’m not sure of anything.”
In addition, there could be gusts of wind up to 40 mph, Hendricks said.
“Does it get any better?” he asked.
However, there could be a warming trend in the area later this week.
Hendricks predicted sunny conditions for Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 30s, and rain on Thursday with temperatures in the upper 40s.
