Norma Double

Norma F. Double, 66, of East Brady died Wednesday Jan. 22, 2014, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Barger Hollow, Perry Township, Clarion County, on April 23, 1947, she was the daughter of Clayton A. and Lois R. (Fair) Barger.

Norma was a nurse's aide first at the Anderson House in New Bethlehem, then at Golden Living in Clarion, and lastly for 12 years at Sugarcreek Rest Home.

She was a member of the Petrolia Lion's Club, was a fan of country music, and was an avid bingo player. She was known by her family for making the best moon pie's and no-bake cookies.

Norma was fond of pets, especially her late dog, Missy, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Edward P. Double of East Brady, who she married on July 28, 1991; her four sons, Donald “Bud” Adams Jr. of Widnoon, Bill (Robin) Adams of New Bethlehem, Ken (girlfriend Heather) Adams of Widnoon and Tim (Tatum) Adams of Freeport; her granddaughter, Bailey Adams, and her three grandsons, Tyson, Joshua and Zyan Adams.

Norma is also survived by her three sisters, Nancy Barger, Judy Erb, and Charlotte Rossman; her brother, Edward Barger, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Adams Sr.; her infant twin daughters; her grandson, Craig; her sister, Debra Gillespie, and her brother, Dean Barger.

DOUBLE — A memorial service for Norma F. Double, who died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Buechele Funeral Home, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, with Pastor Mark Hillwig of the East Brady Baptist Church officiating. Private burial in Widnoon Cemetery will occur in the spring.Norma's family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in her name to the East Brady Ambulance, P.O. Box 325, East Brady, PA 16028.
