Sally Ann “Sarah” Moore, 76, of Butler passed away at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born July 28, 1937, in Butler to the late Paul Eugene Dixon and Mary (MacPherson) Dixon.

Mrs. Moore worked at Butler Medical Associates as part of the clinical staff.

She was a member and former deacon of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the Butler Jr. Women's Club and a past president of the Butler County Medical Society Auxiliary. Sarah was a club master of the American Contract Bridge League.

Sarah's lifetime hobby was bringing people together. Everyone was always welcome in her warm and loving home. Her homemade food, funny greeting cards, and sense of humor supported friends and family through times of hardship and celebration. She saw only the good in those around her and was able to bring out the best in everyone she met. Sarah also had a love for playing the game of bridge, watching movies, sipping white wine, shopping at TJ Maxx and singing old songs with her dearest friends.

Mrs. Moore is survived by six sons, Jeffrey P. Leslie and his wife, Dr. Renee Kottenhahn, of Wilmington, Del., Gregory S. Leslie and his wife, Maria Stetzer Leslie, of Butler, Bradley D. Leslie and his wife, Susan Perry Leslie, of Butler, Dr. E. Eugene Moore and his wife, Dr. Sarah Moore, of Denver, Colo., Dr. John B. Moore of Denver, Colo., and Dr. Fred A. Moore and his wife, Paula, of Ocala, Fla.; four daughters, Dawn K. Roccki of Butler, Kathleen A. Hanners and her husband, Dr. Chris Hanners, of Chillicothe, Ohio, Deborah L. Grant and her husband, David, of Gibsonia and Theresa J. Otto and her husband, Dave, of Denver, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Dixon of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Peggy Bowen of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ernest E. Moore, who she married Aug. 5, 1972, and who passed away Jan. 9, 2010; two sisters, Kathleen McBride and Ruth Murphy; one brother, Robert Dixon; and one nephew.

MOORE — Friends of Sally Ann “Sarah” Moore, who died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Merry Meloy officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E.
