Shannon L. Duffy, 43, of Renfrew passed away Saturday.

Shannon was a cook for Seneca Valley Middle School for the past 13 years. She also cooked for the Girl Scout Camp Redwing.

She liked the outdoors and enjoyed camping and canoeing.

She loved animals in general but particularly horses, especially her horses, Bella and Sadie. She was a very giving person and above all, her daughter, Kayla, was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Marie Greygor of Renfrew; her parents, Robert and Gloria (Boss) Duffy of Allison Park; her grandmother, Frieda Boss of Zelienople; her sister, Erin Duffy of Emsworth; her fiance, Bryan Hartman; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Duffy, who passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the King Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw.
