Charles W. McAfee
Charles W. McAfee, 72, of Valencia passed away Saturday morning at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.
Born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Franciscus McAfee.
Charles had been a supervisor for Bell South in central Florida. When he returned to Pa., he worked for Manheim Pittsburgh, formerly Butler Auto Auction, then worked as a school bus driver for A.J. Myers and Sons in Zelienople and for W.L. Roenigk in Valencia.
He served twice in the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He attended Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills and was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Knights of Columbus Council 10175.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen McCully McAfee, who he married on Dec. 22, 2001; his two sons, Sam McAfee and his wife, Leanne, of Ireland, and Michael McAfee of Tampa, Fla.; his stepdaughter, Diane Campbell and her husband, John, of Zelienople; his stepson, Greg Beynon and his wife, Sally, of Spring Hill, Fla.; his grandchildren, Michael, Oisin and Lochlan McAfee; his step-grandchildren, Matt and Mike Beynon and Michelle and Melissa Campbell; and his two brothers, Regis McAfee and his wife, Norma, of Valencia, and Kevin McAfee and his wife, Vada, of Kittanning. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
