Edward G. Koegler
Edward G. Koegler Sr., 77, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Nov. 9, 1936, in Criders Corners, he was the son of the late Irwin C. and Emma F. (Nolder) Koegler.
After many years of dedicated service, Ed retired from the North Pittsburgh Telephone Company, now Consolidated Communications. He also had the privilege of acting as a Pennsylvania deputy game protector for more than 30 years.
He cherished his time with nature, his dog and his family while fishing, boating and relaxing at his uncle's camp in Westport. He also cherished his vacations in Canada.
He is survived by his two children, Edward G. Koegler Jr. and his wife, Leigh, and Sandra L. Milo and her husband, David; his two brothers, Irwin E. “Ducky” Koegler and his wife, Sandra, and Donald W. Koegler and his wife, Susan; his two grandchildren, Peter Milo and Julia Milo; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Koegler — A memorial service for Edward G. Koegler Sr., who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dr. John K. Jefferis officiating.He will be laid to rest privately by his family at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, the Koegler family suggests memorial contributions be made in his honor in support of the Moraine Preservation Fund, 118 North Shore Drive, Portersville, PA 16051.The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
