Stella Sanders

Stella A. Sanders, 77, of Butler passed away Sunday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born on April 19, 1936, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Alfred H. Orowitz and Isabel (Santos) Orowitz.

She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Stella enjoyed drawing, arts and crafts, and collecting porcelain dolls. She loved her two dogs, Corky and Peanuts.

Surviving are her husband, Howard W. Bodema; her daughter, Martina Felix and her husband, Brad Felix, of Eau Claire; her son, Don Sanders and his fiancee, Ashley Marvich, of Beaver; her four grandchildren, Robert, Alyssa, Riley and Mason; her five brothers and sisters, Margaret Brumm of Monroeville, Alfred (Chris) Orowitz Jr. of Deltona, Fla., Rose Marie (James) Creed of Reedsville, N.C., James Orowitz of Monroeville and Patricia (William) Quinn of Butler; her 19 nieces and nephews; and her two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ken) Young of Evans City and Diane (Barney) Fife of West Sunbury.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Sanders, who passed away in 1986.

Sanders— The friends of Stella A. Sanders, who passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
