Barbara Rose Yachimowski, 63, of Chicora passed away early Wednesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Barbara was born in Butler on Feb. 18, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Brownfield Hindman.

She was a Catholic. She enjoyed puzzles, walks, reading, movies, playing cards, a good cup of tea and taking care of her dog and bird.

She had been employed for 23 years in the housekeeping department at Sugarcreek Rest Home.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Yachimowski, who died in 1987.

She is survived by her two sons, Corey Yachimowski of Clarion and Dana Yachimowski of Numine; her friend and caregiver, Dianne Smith of Chicora; her brother, Lewis Hindman and his wife, Gaye, of East Brady; her sister, Mary Ann Croop and her husband, Howard, of Mars, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hindman.

Yachimowski — The friends of Barbara Rose Yachimowski, who passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
