Pinkerton 100th birthday
Elizabeth Flick Pinkerton of Butler celebrated her 100th birthday at a luncheon with extended family and friends.
The former Elizabeth Flick was born March 16, 1914, in Middlesex Township.
She has two children, Nancy Quatse-Soref of Playa del Rey, Calif., and Dale Pinkerton, a Butler County Commissioner. She also has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
After working for U.S. Steel as a secretary for 28 years, she retired in 1977 and eventually moved to Butler.
She is a member of North Main Street Church of God. Her simple recipe for a long life is, “Just live right.”
