Mary Elizabeth Lamison, 81, of Butler passed away at 8:05 a.m. Monday at the Chicora Medical Center.

She was born on July 21, 1932, in Portersville, the daughter of the late Coyle D. Lamison Sr. and Pearl (Kelley) Lamison.

Mary was a member of the North Street Christian Church in Butler. She had worked as a senior aide in the Butler County Controller's office, where she retired in 1999 after 10 years of service.

Surviving are her sister, Faye (Joseph) Menchyk of Butler; several nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her best friend, Pauline M. Wilson of Butler, who was also her caregiver for many years before her going to the Chicora Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Coyle D. Lamison Jr.

Lamison — The friends of Mary Elizabeth Lamison, who passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Wednesday with her pastor, the Rev.
