Daniel Carey

Daniel T. Carey, 59, of Butler passed away Monday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on July 5, 1954, in Greensburg, he was the son of Delorse Calderone Carey of Butler and the late Westley Carey.

He was the husband of Cindy Guerriero Carey, who he married on Nov. 9, 1998.

He worked as a mechanic for more than 40 years with various automobile companies.

He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

He was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife; his three sons, Chad A. Carey of New Castle, Timathy J. (Shelby) Carey of Butler and Patrick M. Carey of Butler; his three daughters, Dawn (Thomas) Sawicki of Butler, Amber Lynn (Michael) Dittmer of West Sunbury and Amber Dawn Carey of New Castle; his mother; his nine grandchildren; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister, Colleen (Steven) Giallombardo of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father; three sisters; and his brother.

Carey— The friends of Daniel T. Carey, who passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A blessing service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
