Laurel Johnson

Laurel Johnson of Chicora is this year's North Washington Rodeo Queen.

She is a groom at Winning Key Farms in Slate Lick and enjoys trail riding. She also competes in Extreme Cowboy races.

Johnson was an active 4-H member of the West Sunbury Wranglers for six years and served as secretary, vice president and president.

She rode Western Horsemanship for two years for the Butler Equestrian Team and competed at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association competitions. During her last two years in 4-H she rode in hunter jumper classes.

Johnson is the daughter of Sue and Gary Johnson. She was home-schooled and graduated in 2012.
