Samuel H. Kerr

Samuel H. Kerr, 68, of Harmony Baptist Road, Shenango Township, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday.

He was born on March 28, 1946, in Ellwood City to the late Jack H. and Jean E. (Steffler) Kerr.

He was an auctioneer who enjoyed traveling, buying and selling collectibles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a man of God who felt called to serve the people of Mexico. He was a member of the Word of Life Family Church.

He was a selfless husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Patricia (Meade) Kerr.

In addition to his wife, Sam is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly (Tim) Holden, Patti (Bobby) Green and Dawn Marie (Mark) Giangiuli; his two sons, Jay Kerr and David (Kelsey) Kerr; his nine grandchildren, and his two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Paul) Lelenko, and his three brothers, Dennis (Carrie) Kerr, Dale (Jodi) Kerr, and Jim (Patty) Kerr.

Kerr — Visitation for Samuel H. Kerr, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Gardner Chapel, 2809 Forest Ave., New Castle.Funeral services will immediately follow at noon Saturday at the Gardner Chapel and will be conducted by pastors Darren M. Abraham of Gardner Chapel and Ted Saad of the Word of Life Family Church.
