June (McKinnis) Reed
June (McKinnis) Reed, 87, of Butler passed away at 1:20 a.m. Sunday at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1926, in Prospect, to the late Howard Merl McKinnis and Helen L. (Barnhart) McKinnis.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a member of the Prospect Presbyterian Church.
She loved to camp and watch NASCAR racing.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her husband, Harold V. Reed, who she married on Dec. 14, 1946; her two sons, Gary L. Reed and his wife, Janet, of Renfrew and Denny Reed and his wife, DeDe, of Butler; her four grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her four sisters, Faye King of Saxonburg, EdnaMae Knauer of Prospect, Bonnie Bolten and her husband, Crawford, of Renfrew, and Sandy Henricks and her husband, Robert, of Slippery Rock, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and three sisters.
Reed — The friends of June (McKinnis) Reed, who passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. James E. Boos of the Prospect and Mt. Nebo Presbyterian churches officiating.
