Hope Marie Wonderling
Hope Marie Wonderling, 18, of Butler passed away Saturday at her home.
She was born on May 14, 1996, in Butler, the daughter of Stephen and Crystal (Eisler) Wonderling.
Hope was a senior at Butler High School and planned to attend Butler County Community College in the fall. She was an avid softball player, playing on multiple teams each year, including Butler Sting traveling team, Butler Fast Pitch and the Butler Tornado Softball Team, where she lettered the last three years. She will be honored for being named Quad A First Team All-Section this year at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Consol Energy Field in Washington, Pa.
She attended the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, where she participated in the youth group program.
Surviving are her parents; her maternal grandparents, John A. Eisler Jr. of Prospect, and Barbara J. Eisler of Portersville; her paternal grandparents, James Wonderling of Saxonburg, and Deborah Wonderling of Butler; her maternal great-grandparents, Janet Eisler of Prospect, and Ruth Dietrich of Portersville; her paternal great-grandparents, Thomas Holt of Meridian, and Mae Wonderling of Butler; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and her softball family.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Carl Dietrich, John “Jack” Eisler and William Wonderling; her great-grandmother, Lois Maxine Holt, and her uncle, Billy Wonderling.
Wonderling — The friends of Hope Marie Wonderling, who passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. John Jeffers of the Harmony-Zelienople Church officiating.
