JOBLESS RATE
Butler County's jobless rate slipped slightly in May to 5.2 percent from April's mark of 4.7 percent. May's mark tied Allegheny County for the lowest rate in the nine-county region. Mercer was the only county to not show an increase in its jobless rate, maintaining a 5.8 percent rate over the month.
