Marcia K. Hillard
Marcia K. Hillard, 56, of Butler passed away Sunday at her home.
She was born on April 7, 1958, in Butler, the daughter of the late Wallace “Wally” Hillard and Margaret “Peggy” (Gibson) Hillard.
Marcia had a passion for cooking. She was known to make a meal for anyone who would stop by, whether they were hungry or not. She loved spending time with her two dogs, her children, her family and her friends. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and liked to fish and to plant herb gardens for her cooking.
After 23 years in Richmond, Va., Marcia recently moved back to Butler to spend more time with her mother.
Surviving are her daughter, Sarah Abubaker Mansell and her husband, Matt Mansell, of Richmond, Va.; her two sons, Joseph Abubaker and Adam Abubaker, both of Richmond, Va.; her mother, Peggy Hillard of Butler; and her two sisters, Mary Beilstein of Butler and Michelle Carlson of Webster, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace “Wally” Hillard.
Hillard — A memorial service for Marcia K. Hillard, who passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, will be at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Pastor Pat Nelson officiating.Burial will be private.
