Alameda Pool work could cost up to $1.6M
Bids to renovate Alameda Pool range from $690,000 to $1.6 million.
The bids to refurbish the swimming pool at Alameda Park in Butler Township were opened this morning at the Butler County commissioners meeting.
The four bidding contractors offered a range of $690,000 to $1 million for a base bid and $1.1 million to $1.6 million to do the project with all nine alternates for optional work.
The commissioners can select any combination of alternates or none.
The budget for the work is $1.1 million with money coming from a $400,000 state grant and revenue from sold timber and natural gas drilling impact fees.
Among the primary work is installing a new concrete deck at the county pool. The optional work includes various slides.
The commissioners could award a contract Wednesday.
