June Hartman

June A. “Nanny” Hartman, 88, of Butler passed away at 1:05 p.m. Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on March 24, 1926, in Falls Creek to the late Paul S. Robinson and Cora B. (Shiffler) LeeBrick Robinson.

Mrs. Hartman was a graduate of Brookville Falls Creek School and a former member of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.

She retired in 1974 from the Holiday Inn and Willard Hotels.

She enjoyed her children, animals, gambling, and the woods and camping at Clear Creek State Park.

Mrs. Hartman is survived by her son, William Bookhamer of Boyers; her two daughters, Cora Sue Tirk and her husband, Robert, of Petrolia and Tanya Hackwelder and her friend, David, of Butler; her 12 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandson; and her cat, Muzzy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald E. Bookhamer, who passed away on Aug. 12, 2009; her second husband, Marshall “Bus” Hartman, who she married on Nov. 19, 1975, and who passed away on July 15, 1991; her son, Earl Lloyd Kepler; and her great-granddaughter.

Hartman — Services for June A. “Nanny” Hartman, who passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, were private. Burial took place in the Rose Hill Cemetery.Arrangements were by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
