John M. Gandy
John M. Gandy, 82, of Evans City passed away Tuesday at Cranberry Place.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1932, in Callery, the son of the late Malcolm and Kathleen (Copp) Gandy.
John was a member of Butler Caravan 14, Mars Masonic Lodge, Syria Temple, and ROJ. He liked watching NASCAR and sports, hunting and fishing. He previously owned and operated Capt. John's Bar and a car dealership.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn L. (Jones) Gandy, whom he married on Nov. 11, 1955; two sons, Max (Cathy) Gandy of Callery and Joron (Tawnya) Gandy of Connoquenessing; four grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Kyle, and Kaleb Gandy; a sister, Phyllis Stiffler of Evans City, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Burkett.
