ALIQUIPPA — A Western Pennsylvania man will be sentenced this fall in the rape and physical assault of an elderly retired nun last year.

Andrew Bullock, 19, will be sentenced in November after pleading guilty to rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated assault and in the attack in an Aliquippa church parking lot.

Authorities said the 85-year-old nun was at a recycling bin when a man offered to help, then exposed himself, punched her in the jaw and knocked her face-down to the ground.

A spokesman for the order said in a statement that the victim “is profoundly relieved” that she won’t have to appear in court.
