Betty Jane Schmidt
Betty Jane Schmidt, 87, of Nixon passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1927, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Moeller) Roberts Druschel and William A. Roberts Sr.
She married Charles “Chuck” Schmidt on Dec. 15, 1954, and he preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1999.
Betty was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed painting, puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Schmidt of Nixon and Barbra Olesnevich and her husband, John, of Valencia; one son, Robert Double and his wife, Jill, of Harrisville; her grandchildren, John, Lisa, Shannon, Tony, Robert Jr. and Trisha; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Troutman; and two brothers, William Roberts Jr. and Richard Roberts.
SCHMIDT — Friends of Betty Jane Schmidt, who died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
