Promises unkept

When Tom Corbett was elected governor, he said the state had to operate in a budget just like Pennsylvania families. This year, his budget has resulted in a $1.4 billion deficit. He was not able to operate within his State budget because:

1. The Beaver County Shell Cracker plant deal is not done,

2. His plan to sell the profitable Pennsylvania Lottery to a British company failed.

3. His plan to privatize liquor stores fizzled out.

4. He refused to take the Medicaid Affordable Health Care money, which cost the state $650 million.

5. He did not charge the oil companies an extraction tax as 22 other states have done.

Pennsylvania families will face tax increases to fix this Corbett mess regardless of which “Tom” is elected the next governor.
