Donald Arthur Mentzer, 59, of Greensburg, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully Wednesday surrounded by his loving family, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Don was employed at Gateway Packaging in Export for 37 years, where he loved his job.

His favorite thing to do was ride his motorcycle with his good friends, especially Joel, wherever the road led them. He loved to fish and hunt and liked watching the Steelers, especially when they played the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; his daughter, Charissa “Kate” Krzywada of Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandson, Logan, also of Las Vegas; his parents, Donna and Donald Mentzer; his two brothers, Douglas (Blanche) and David (Linda); his three sisters, Sandra (Bruce) Babula, Mickie Mennor and Karen (Bill) Sample, all of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
