Antoinette 'Toni' Rossi
Antoinette “Toni” Rossi, 85, of Butler, formerly of Lower Burrell, passed away at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Lowrie House.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1929, in Newark, N.J., to the late Pasquale Mazzillo and Rose Cantalupo Mazzillo.
Mrs. Rossi was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
In her earlier years, she worked for the Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark, N.J., and Gaylord's Dress shop in Lower Burrell, and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rossi volunteered at the Butler Area Meals on Wheels. She was active at St. Fidelis Parish, where she sang in the choir, was a member of Christian Mothers and helped with fish fry dinners.
She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, meeting friends at Panera Bread, and attending the Butler County Symphony, local concerts and Pittsburgh musicals.
Mrs. Rossi is survived by her son, Robert Rossi and his wife, JoAnn, of Matawan, N.J.; her two daughters, Jane Wolfe and her husband, Roger, of Butler and Karen Kiernan and her husband, Patrick, of Mt. Airy, Md.; her four grandchildren, Erica Savannah and her husband, Corey, David Wolfe, Megan Bruce and her husband, Cheron, and Erin Kiernan, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Rossi, who she married on Aug. 23, 1952, and who passed away on Dec. 21, 1985; her four brothers, and her two sisters.

North St., Butler.The St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, to recite the rosary.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
