Elizabeth Ann Yingling Montgomery

Elizabeth Ann Yingling Montgomery of Hilton Head Island, S.C., passed away Sept. 16 at her home.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1936, in Butler to Don and Olga Delcomyn Yingling of Saxonburg.

Elizabeth was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School and a 1958 graduate of Grove City College, where she was a member of Theta Kappa Sorority.

She taught at Butler High School and in Shaler Township and Hampton Township schools while living in Glenshaw.

Surviving are her loving husband, Bob, of 55 years, and her loving family, which includes her three sons, Robb and his wife, Ann, and their two children, Robert III and Laura and her husband, John Roth, all of Pittsburgh, Jeff and his wife, Christel, and their three children, Sarah, Natasha and Emma of Winchester, Va., and Don and Pam of Centreville, Va.

No matter where she lived, she made friends easily and earned mutual respect and affection from many, including her close high school friend, Carol.

Montgomery — The family of Elizabeth Ann Yingling Montgomery, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, will greet guests from 10 a.m. to the time of a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Road, Allison Park. A reception at the church will follow the service. Interment will be private in North Side Cemetery, Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered to Grove City College, 100 Campus Drive, Grove City, PA 16127 for the JH Montgomery Scholarship Fund or to the charity of your choice.Arrangements are by the Neely Funeral Home, Glenshaw.
