Maxine Klepper Kaufman

Maxine Klepper Kaufman, 73, of Farmingdale, N.J., formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept. 20 at the Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall Township, N.J.

Maxine was born, raised in and had lived in Butler before moving to Farmingdale in 1961.

She was a registered nurse and the director of nursing at the Springview Nursing Home, Freehold Township, N.J. She also had worked at many other facilities until her retirement in 2003.

Maxine was an active member of the Farmingdale First United Methodist Church and member of the A.G.A.P.E. Women's Group. She enjoyed her family and the time she spent with them.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Michael Kaufman; her children, Brett Werth, Todd Werth and his fiancee, Jessica Goodwin, of Brick Township, N.J., and Lucinda Cooney and her husband, Roger, of Jackson, N.J.; her stepchildren, Michael E. Kaufman, Beth Anne Kaufman and Kelly Anne Kennedy; her four grandchildren, Ella Jaymes, Dylan Michael, and Roger and Katie; her five step-grandchildren; her step-great-grandson; her seven siblings, Joan Gumpp, Shirley Dunn, Rita Curven, Karen Gacicia, Dorothy Chutz, David Klepper, and Phyllis Vail, and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kaufman— Services for Maxine Klepper Kaufman, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, were at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, N.J.
