Catherine L. 'Kitty' O'Donnell
Catherine L. “Kitty” O'Donnell, 102, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday at Manor Care, Pittsburgh.
Born on Sept. 22, 1912, in East Butler, she was a daughter of the late R. Frank and Zuella Long Snodgrass.
She was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital in the Priority Care Association for 10 years. She had previously worked at Troutman's Department Store in Butler for eight years.
She was a graduate of the Interior Decoration Correspondence coarse at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She attended a hat design and millinery course in Pittsburgh.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler and AARP.
Surviving are her five grandchildren, Brad Croft, Beth (John) Wentz and Brucie Bolar, all of Pittsburgh, Scott (Romnie) Croft of Tennessee and Carla Jo (Steven) Duhovis of Reading; her 11 great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; and her two daughters-in-law, Eileen Croft of Pittsburgh and Lillian Faulstick of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O'Donnell, and her two sons, Gordon and Bruce Croft.
O'Donnell— The friends of Catherine L. “Kitty” O'Donnell, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, will be received from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, with the Rev. Joel Benson, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
