Jean Benton
Jean Benton, 69, of Steamboat Springs, Colo., formerly of Mars, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 29 in Colorado.
Born on March 4, 1945, in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen McGeever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry P. Benton, whom she married on April 1, 1967, and who died on Oct. 17, 2012.
Surviving are her sister, Kathy Davis of Lexington, Ky.; her daughter, Mikie of Steamboat Springs, and her sons, Jay of Steamboat Springs, Andy of Park City, Utah, and Tom of Hilo, Hawaii.
Benton — The friends of Jean Benton, who passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Jean's life at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry streets, Mars, with Tom McMeekin officiating.A reception will follow at the Cobblestone Village Clubhouse, 1000 Cobblestone Lane, Valencia.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Jean Benton Memorial Fund, in care of the Yampa Valley Funeral Home, P.O.
