Carolyn F. Rettig

Carolyn F. Rettig, 63, of Cabot passed away Monday at her home.

She was born on June 30, 1951, in Cabot, a daughter of William and the late Jenny Lear Ambrose.

She worked as an English teacher at Butler Intermediate School, retiring after 31 years.

She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot.

Carolyn enjoyed horses, gardening, taking bus trips and going to dude ranches. She loved animals.

Surviving are her loving husband, Gary Rettig, who she married on July 10, 1985; her father, William (Irene) Ambrose of Cabot; her brother, William “Devin” Ambrose of Cabot; and her mother-in-law, Frances Clark of Saxonburg.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Dorothy Ambrose, and her sister.

Rettig — The friends of Carolyn F. Rettig, who passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to time of services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at theFox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with the Rev.
