Donald R. 'Dutch' Angeloni
Donald R. “Dutch” Angeloni, 83, of Butler passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 3, 1931, in Butler, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Anna DeRita Angeloni.
Dutch attended Grove City College for two years and went on to receive a degree in accounting from Butler Business College.
He was retired from Armco, where he was employed as the general foreman in the Masonry Department.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Dutch served during the Korean War.
Dutch was an active member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Butler. In addition to his numerous church activities, he was well-known as a cook for many parish dinners and festivals.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy, American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249, and he previously served as an officer in the Cubs A.S.A.
Dutch also previously served as the girls' basketball coach at Butler Catholic School. He coached the Butler High School ninth grade girls' basketball team and he was a referee for the Butler Midget Football League.
He loved fishing, golfing and going to the casino.
Dutch is survived by his wife, Frances Fudoli Angeloni, who he married on Aug. 18, 1956; his two sons, Frank Angeloni and his wife, Sheilah, of Butler and Daniel Angeloni and his wife, Deborah, of Tarentum; his daughter, Barbara Davis and her husband, Christopher, of Stow, Ohio; his brother, Dr. Francis Angeloni and his wife, Fay, of Export; and his sister, Cecelia Beblo and her husband, Bernard, of Butler.
He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Ashton Angeloni, Whitney Angeloni, Lauren Davis and Ryan Davis.
Angeloni— The friends of Donald R. “Dutch” Angeloni, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in theMartin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael's parish will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.
