Robert J. Kalka

Robert J. Kalka, 52, of Butler passed away Saturday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, surrounded by his family.

Born on Dec. 22, 1961, in Butler, he was a son of Vivian A. Kalka and the late Robert C. Kalka.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1981, then received an associate degree from Rosedale Technical Institute.

He worked as a mechanic for Central Transport.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing and going to car shows. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers and L.A. Rams fan, and had liked to play Halo and the Tiger Woods golf game.

Surviving are his mother, Vivian Kalka and her companion, Bud Cavaliero, of Butler; his two brothers, Greg Kalka and Dave Kalka and his fiancee, Julie Stutz, all of Butler; his sister, Amy (Francis) Clause of Boardman, Ohio; his three nieces, Elizabeth Kalka, Francesca Clause and Frances Clause; his nephew, Benjamin Kalka; his companion, Tammy Ropelewski and her daughter, Alexis; and his best friend, Alan Boyd.

Kalka — The friends of Robert J. Kalka, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.The St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, to recite the rosary.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
