Carolyn Jean Brown, 71, of Ridgeville passed away at 6:03 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a nine-week battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born to the late Lloyd Brown and Irma Hassler Brown on Nov. 10, 1942.

She was a 1960 graduate of Moniteau High School.

After graduation, she worked for the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. for nine years, and she retired from the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers after 37 and a half years of service.
