Woman sought for questioning
Butler Police are searching for a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting last week that left a Butler apartment riddled with 14 bullet holes.
Police said they want to speak to 26-year-old Anna McCandless as part of their investigation. It was not immediately known why investigators are eager to talk with the woman, who has no listed address.
The shooting occurred Nov. 21, shortly before 11 p.m., in the 300 block of East Walnut Street. No arrests have been made.
Investigators believe someone inside could have been hit in the gunfire but they have not identified that person.
It’s unclear what prompted the shooting, but city police have not ruled out a possible drug-related motive.
Police have declined to say if they have any suspects.
Police ask that anyone with information about the whereabouts of McCandless call them at 724-287-7743.
