Daniel E. Haid
Daniel E. Haid, 45, of Rattigan Road, Chicora, Donegal Township, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh following an illness.
Daniel was born in Butler on Nov. 17, 1968. He was the son of Edward Andrew Haid III of Fenelton and the late Marcia Rhoades Haid.
He was a Roman Catholic.
As a youth, he was active in scouting and in 1986 Dan earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
He was a 1987 graduate of Karns City High School.
He had been employed as a residential program worker with ARC in Butler and was a member of SEIU Local 668 where he had served as union steward.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his three brothers, Andrew J. Haid of Butler, Edward A. Haid and his wife, Traci, of Fenelton and Joseph A. Haid and his wife, Shanna, of Chicora, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his mother, who passed away on Nov. 9, 1997, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
