Ruth Irene Good Lewis, 88, of McKinney, Texas, passed away Wednesday in Plano, Texas.

She was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Butler to Victor Andrew and Della Lechner Fry.

Ruth married Harold A. Good Jr. on May 6, 1943, in New Castle. Harold passed away in 1976. She married William E. Lewis on Aug. 1, 1981.

The most loving, caring and supportive of mothers and grandmothers, she will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl “Cherie” Shuler and her husband, Gary, of Allen, Texas; her sons, Daryl G. Good and his wife, Kathy, of Allen, Texas, and Harold “Hal” A. Good III of McKinney, Texas; her stepdaughter, Pam Welch and her husband, Scott, of Glendale, Ariz.; her 11 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Victoria “Vickie” Fry Dunbar of Pennsylvania and Jean Buchanan of Colorado; and her three brothers, Kenneth Fry and Raymond Fry, both of Pennsylvania, and Robert Fry of Florida.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold A. Good Jr., her second husband, William E. Lewis, and one sister, Esther Thompson, who passed away in April 2014.

LEWIS — Visitation for Ruth Irene Good Lewis, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at Castleview Memorial Gardens, 3010 Wilmington Road, New Castle.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Castleview Memorial Gardens followed by her entombment, officiated by the Rev. Jason McQueen of Cabot United Methodist Church, Cabot.Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, New Castle.Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.decarbofuneralhome.com.
