Verna Mae Fitzpatrick, 85, of Butler passed away Tuesday at her home.

Born on April 5, 1929, in East Butler, she was a daughter of the late Bernard McLaughlin and Margaret Duddy.

She was employed as an office manager and retired following 10 years of service.

She enjoyed gardening, dancing and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two daughters and her two sons, Sheila McCloskey of Butler, Kathleen Smith of Butler, Jeffery McCloskey of Tunkhannock and James McCloskey of Butler; her six grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene McCloskey; her four sisters; and her four brothers.
