Peter J. 'Bud' Bianucci

Peter J. “Bud” Bianucci, 96, of Butler passed away Friday afternoon at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born in Butler on Feb. 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Dario and Bruna Grossi Bianucci.

Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

He was a machinist for Hoffman Auto Parts, retiring after 32 years of service. He was formerly employed at the Franklin Glass Co.

Bud was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Italian Club and the French and Belgium Club. He loved golfing, bowling and dancing.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Burke and her husband, Dan, of Renfrew; his son, Gordon “Gordy” Bianucci and his wife, Nancy, of Butler; and his four grandchildren, Tracy Stroschein and her husband, Matt, of Mohnton, Sean Burke and his wife, Jennifer, of Butler, Todd Bianucci and his wife, Carol, of Chicora and Mark Bianucci of Karns City. Also surviving are his four great-grandchildren, Max Burke, Madeline Burke and Drake Burke, all of Butler, and Brianna Bianucci of Chicora; and his step-great-grandchild, Shauna Bianucci of Chicora.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Gladys M. Gall Bianucci, who passed away on Dec. 1, 2012; his brother; and his two sisters.

Bianucci — The friends of Peter J. “Bud” Bianucci, who passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Church. Entombment will follow at Saint Michael's Cemetery.Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 778.The Bianucci family requests memorial donations to the VNA, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to theMartin Funeral Home, Butler.For more information, please visit www.martinfh.net.
