Samantha Lee Eastgate

Samantha Lee Eastgate, 22, of Franklin, Ky., formerly of Lancaster Township, passed away Friday.

Born on March 20, 1992, in Pittsburgh, she was the adored daughter of Kenneth and Crystal Lee Pflugh Eastgate of Lancaster Township.

Samantha was a 2010 graduate of the Seneca Valley High School. She was a proud member of the Junior ROTC program at the high school where she was highly decorated and was awarded the Air Force Medal.

During her high school career, she was a valued member of the swim club. Samantha enjoyed karate and playing the violin and piano. Her artistic nature was boundless as she also loved writing poetry and drawing.

In addition to her parents, Samantha leaves behind to cherish her memory, her precious daughter, Braelee-Mae Harris; her sister, Angela Marie Davis and her husband, Jeremy, of Harmony; her two brothers, Gavin Eastgate and his wife, Heather, of Adams Township and Graeme Eastgate and his wife, Nikki, of Adams Township; her niece, Madelyn Davis; her three nephews, Nathan and Noah Eastgate and Owen Eastgate; her paternal grandfather, Jim Hinderer of Anderson, Ind.; her partner and the father of their daughter, Shane Harris Jr. of Franklin, Ky.; her partner's parents, Shane Harris Sr. and his wife, Linda, of Vandergrift; and Lynette Grimes of Columbus, Ind.

Eastgate— The family of Samantha Lee Eastgate, who passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at theBoylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Doug Patterson, who had the honor of baptizing Samantha as a child, officiating.
